Nitin Kadam's Story: Legacy of Conservation and Connection
Nitin Estate stands as a testament to the vision and dedication of its founder, Nitin Kadam. Situated amidst the lush landscapes of Satara, Maharashtra,
Nitin Estate is not just a botanical garden but a sanctuary dedicated to fostering a deeper connection between people and nature
Nitin's journey began in 2010 when he acquired the land that would eventually become Nitin Estate. Inspired by his love for nature and driven by a desire to create
something meaningful, Nitin embarked on a transformative journey of conservation and cultivation. He traversed the length and breadth of India, collecting diverse
plant species from every corner of the country.
With meticulous care and dedication, Nitin organized these plants into a meticulously laid-out farm, introducing farming practices that prioritize sustainability and
environmental stewardship. Today, Nitin Estate boasts a collection of over 120 plant species, displayed in a thematic estate spread across 6 acres.
Beyond being a mere botanical garden, Nitin Estate is a hub of biodiversity, offering visitors the opportunity to explore formal gardens, spice plantations,
and coffee estates year-round. Nitin's commitment to conservation extends to every aspect of the estate, from its breathtaking views of the Koyana dam to its
lip-smacking Dongri cuisine served at Nitin's Cafe.
But Nitin's vision goes beyond the boundaries of his estate. He hopes to inspire future generations to fall in love with the environment and cultivate a deeper
appreciation for the natural world. Through his tireless efforts and unwavering passion, Nitin Kadam has not only created a sanctuary of beauty but also a legacy
of conservation and connection that will endure for generations to come.
